Through the years, England's Stove Works has gotten some pretty neat feedback regarding our stove products, prices and customer service, among other things -- including just how nice we are.   :)

The following are reprints of some of those comments -- of course, for privacy's sake we just list the initials of the customer and the state in which they live (if available), but you can get a pretty good idea of how proud we are of our stoves by reading a few of these letters.  If you have a testimonial, rating or review of your stove that you would like to share, please e-mail it to us or drop us a line at

...Turns out (after watching the DVD) the pellets were too long...After clearing the blockage the stove has been running great...And by the way, the stove's been heating my 1,900 sq. ft. house very, very well. It's 80 degrees down by the stove and 70 upstairs across the house from the stove. I'm very happy with the stove compared to the $3,500 (other brand). Can't beat it.

Hello, I just wanted to personally thank P.T. for his excellent help in assisting me to help troubleshoot my neighbor's stove yesterday. You see, my neighbor is disabled and his wife purchased the stove a few years ago and never had a problem until yesterday...this is where P.T. worked his magic and stayed on the phone with me for at least an hour and was able to instruct me through the process of repairing the stove.
Not only did (he) display great patience, but was able to take me to school on your product and most of all help a disabled friend and his family stay warm through one of the coldest nights of this winter season. Thank you for the wood stove. I'm having a problem with it. It heats too good. Once I get it going, and cut it back all the way, it still produces a great amount of heat for the wood I put in it.
Since I will be adding to my place this summer, it will be better, since I will have another 400 sq. ft. to heat. I know when it gets really cold, it will be perfect. It is an impressive stove, just what I wanted. One happy customer,

This is my 3rd year anniversary for my model 49-SHCPML (multi-fuel stove) and I thought it was time to say it is one of the best products I have bought. Other than normal maintenance (gasket kits), this stove has been care-free for three years. My wife loves being cozy all winter, and based on what I was paying for oil heat, this stove paid for itself in the first year. Thank you for a great stove, I have recommended it to others who were looking to purchase pellet stoves.

As of this December, 2011, I am starting my 4th heating season with my Englander wood stove...I have had other stoves at twice the cost and do not see any difference at all. My wife and I love this stove! We burn wood all day 7 days a week from October to the end of February, we load it before we go to work and still have hot coals when we return 9 hours later. It didn't take long to pay for itself. On the coldest days (0 to 5 degrees) we are still cozy warm. It feels good to have an American made product that I am proud of! Thank you,

I went online and saw that there was an electronic diagnostic test. I did that, and by doing it determined that the auger motor was bad. Ordered it and installed it, stove is working great now, thanks.

I was dreading having to cut loads of wood to heat with this year. I was browsing the paper and saw your wood furnace advertised at the local lumber yard. I compared your product with other brands, and your furnace took top ratings. I replaced the stove I have with your furnace and I'm glad I did. It is as quiet as my gas furnace even though it is set up in my back room and dumping air. It heats my whole house (2,900 sq. ft.) plus my attached workshop. Next year I intend to run ducting for this furnace alone, and use the gas furnace as a backup. The furnace is as attractive as any stove and I'm more than pleased with the performance. Being made in America is an added benefit and I can see the old time American made quality is alive and well.

I bought an Englander pellet stove last winter and this season needed some help with some problems I was having. I called your service number and spoke with L.M. He was wonderful.
I am handicapped and not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to repairs of any kind, so when I say he talked me through all the things that could possibly be wrong, I mean every single thing...and with the utmost patience.
As it turned out the problem wasn't with the stove, but with the flue. Even though I vacuum it regularly there was build-up and once it was taken care of, the stove was back up and running. I so love this little stove (25-PDVC/55-SHP10L/55-TRP10).
